Jonathan Robins is the Founder of Jonathan Robins Bakery (JRB) based in Tempe, Arizona. Originally from Johannesburg, South Africa, Jonathan immigrated to the United States in 1987 where he completed a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Management in 1991. In 1992 Jonathan purchased a small bakery in Phoenix, AZ which has grown from one employee to over sixty employees today. Jonathan has learned the most by experimenting & being in the kitchen/bakery; but his formal training includes a three-year apprenticeship with a French baker, formal training from American Institute of Baking (AIB) and The San Francisco Baking Institute (SFBI).
Meet our Experiment at JRB co-founder, partner development director and guest experience extraordinaire Brandy Jackson; aka "the person who runs this place". Each day you can look forward to Brandy building you a savory sandwich for lunch, showcasing her barista skills, or talking you through which of the pastries to enjoy. She is an important part of our team and looks forward to seeing you each day!
Jonathan has always felt that the quality of the product is of the utmost importance. Therefore, JRB uses fresh herbs in their breads, European chocolates and 100% butter in their cookies, muffins, scones, puff pastry, danish, brioche and croissants. The bakery’s goal is to always make the most natural and preservative-free product. Jonathan values each guest and wants the bakery to be an extension of your own kitchen.
